Dimples: You Need to Know

When Poet Megan Rose wrote;
"They say love makes you a meticulous observer,
and here,
I begin to notice the way your eyes crease when your smiles are real,
the specific way your lips curl up at the corners
and the dimples that appear especially when you throw your head back effortlessly..."
She, just like most people simply observed an actual deformity that everybody wish to be born with.

Yes, dimples are actually genetic defects that occurred as a result of shortened facial muscles.

Dimples are caused by a fault in the subcutaneous connective tissue that develops in course of the embryonic development. A variation in the structure of the facial muscle may also cause dimples. There are two types of facial dimples; chin and cheek dimples.

Dimples is created by the slight depression that happened in the skin; when the person smiles, the shorter muscle on the face pulls up the facial skin.

Dimples acquisition is hereditary. It often occur on both the cheeks. A single dimple on one cheek is an uncommon phenomenon.

The dimple creating genes are present in the sex cells prior to the process of reproduction. It's generally agreed that dimples are genetic — but there's an argument about the details. For a long time, dimples were considered a "dominant" genetic trait: if both your parents had them, you'd always develop some cuteness of your own. Now, however, some scientists are arguing that they're actually irregular dominant traits — so having two parents with dimples doesn't appear to guarantee you'll have them 100 percent of the time.

Sometimes, dimples are caused from spontaneous mutations that create a dent in the cheek or a cleft cleft chin.

And here's the good news for people born without natural dimples, they can successfully mimic their appearance through a variety of methods ranging from the simple (makeup) to the drastic (surgery).

If you want it, advanced technology says; you can get it.

Maybe sometimes later on this blog, we shall be letting you know more about Dimples of Venus on this segment: You Need to Know.
